Our Approach
“My approach is the non-approach, respecting where you are and letting you be yourself. Everything you want to become will flow from there.”
- Ana-Karyn
Each person has a level of understanding of herself or himself and of the world. At every level, you need different tools to uplift your awareness and to produce a solid relationship with your unlimited wisdom, life and compassion.
The techniques use at the Bioenergetics Institue induce going within. Most people think that going within means going into our feelings, mind processes or ego limitations. Yes, this is part of the truth; however, a real journey within simply means resting in our natural way of being.
Each technique presented is applicable to where you are and what you need. The ultimate goal is to use life as the perfect technique, to create a state of silence and total relaxation as you live in it.

Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini yoga is the yoga of consciousness. Using the teachings of Yogy Bhajan, we learn that this type of yoga involves a coherent life style, and uses the breath, the sound (or mantra) and body positions. This powerful combination makes the body supple, the mind receptive and self-performance integral. Kundalini yoga is a safe and uplifting yoga with many levels for you to explore.
Self Enquiry and Self Knowledge
The Institute offers a series of questions that invite you to explore your inner potential and impediments. Questions are either taken home as a form of reflection or discussed in group setting where others can contribute and complement your point of view and your experiences.
Our teachers believe that we have an innate inner wisdom, love and life force that you can access and apply in your life.
We also supply knowledge about inner dynamics, the anatomy of energy, and subtle relationships so that you can consider other angles from which to perceive yourself and others, an inner map.
Contemplative Art
Spirituality produces beauty within and without. We use multimedia for self expression, as a means for you to mature your inner communication and to indicate your inner position. That way you are able to observe yourself easily and to release in a safe way. We also strongly rely on nature and self-contemplation.
Meditation
Meditation cannot really be taught, simply because it involves effortless dwelling into what you are. However we need a step to get there, some active steps, or some passive steps to educate you on how to connect. In active meditations expect various sacred movements and mantras to rebalance and realign one’s energy. In passive meditations expect different types of sitting meditation taught to cultivate the benefits of stillness.
"I feel much more grounded and balanced than I used to be and her promise to integrate my mind, body and spirit has become a reality. My spiritual practice deepened immeasurably and my awareness and connectedness to life has heightened. I handle stresses of every day life with a greater ease and the work I am doing with Ana-Karyn is so profound that it enabled me to face and accept the death of my daughter. I know that the best advice Ana-Karyn has given me is CELEBRATE LIFE."
- Eva
"I have developed self-discipline, compassion, a sense of inner strength and much broader appreciation of what my life has to offer to the world. The program, as well as all the monthly activities, have also contributed greatly to the sense of community and belongingness that I now feel."
